Inkjet Waterslide Decal Paper

Using water decal paper to print custom transfers could not be easier with our range of decal printer paper.

One popular choice is our Clear inkjet waterslide paper as it allows for the transfer of any design, photograph, artwork or text onto any hard surface using nothing but your home inkjet printer and a little clear coat spray.

The clear decal paper is a clear film with a white backing which releases in water.  The white or light coloured surface takes the place of the white seen in regular printer paper,  allowing for a perfect transfer effect of any design. 

With no compromises needed on your project,  its an ideal choice for white blank miniature models, candles and nail art but with potentially thousands of potential uses,  this water decal paper becomes limitless.

Full instructions are included with every transfer paper pack and superb results can be expected with your first try. 

After printing with an inkjet printer the ink needs to be sealed using a clear varnish spray.  We use the Keen Crystal Clear Nitro Acrylic Spray on our projects but other clear coat sprays will also work perfectly well.

If you are planning on creating lots of decals on a regular basis,  we recommend buying a laser printer as our laser printer water slide paper does not require any spraying after printing.

Ceramic Transfer Paper

Here we have printed our designs onto the decal paper,  sprayed with clear varnish and cut the decal out ready to customise a mug. 

Clear decal paper is ideal for printing onto ceramics as it will bend around the curve of a mug allowing for both text, artwork or photo printing.  After testing by cutting around the edges in the video below,  I now recommend to customers that they cut out more of a rectangle with the edges just 5 or so millimetres short of the top and bottom.  

Filling the area provides a better appearance as the slight film edges of the decal paper film are less visible,  virtually non visible.

After applying the film,  the decal starts its own hardening process and will become very durable after 24 hours.  

Ceramic mugs can also be placed into an oven at low temperature to speed the hardening process up.

Depending on the project you may also wish to spray a coat or two onto your finished decal for extra durability, especially on mugs.

Wood Decal Paper

For transferring text, artwork or designs onto white painted or light coloured flat, hard wooden surfaces,  we recommend our dry rub wood transfer paper. 

It can be used in either an inkjet or laser printer and comes with an adhesive sheet and so nothing else is needed other than our pack and your printer. 

Often used to produce a hand painted effect onto draws and table tops.  Also available in large format for larger projects or just a4,  making it very popular for miniature dolls houses, railway accessories, hand made card toppers and scrapbooking.
